It was the perfect pairing of weather and golf for the Northern California Semi Final held on July 31st at the beautiful Resort at Red Hawk in Sparks, NV. The Lakes Course was in great shape and provided a challenge for all levels of play. Rachel Moreaux of the Sonoma-Marin-Napa Chapter emerged as Low Gross of the field with a 77 and many excellent scores were posted in all flights. The 18th hole was the stage for an exciting sudden death playoff for Low Gross in the Second Flight between Bianca Daykin of the Northern Nevada Chapter and Jodie Asher of the Fresno-San Joaquin Chapter. With many fellow competitors cheering them on from the patio adjacent to the 18th green, it came down to the final putts. Jodie sank her bogey putt to win the hole and the Low Gross title.
A special thanks to Lori Argall, Chief Volunteer Coordinator, and all of the fantastic volunteers from the Northern Nevada Chapter. They were a big part of the success of this event!
